A Poetry To My Younger Self
my dear
this poetry is written by you
but with a wiser mind
with more burdens and bills to pay
less bored and less emotional
going up and down the hill of what we call
life, or adulting you name it
you are younger and life is just one
enjoy it
live every moment of it
the pain, the regrets, the smiles
your mom's food
the boredom of your bedroom and the cd's
the slow internet and the mp3 songs
kiss that boy, dance with no shoes on
who cares about those popular girls
be you
with messy hair, dirty converse
don't be shy and get in that pool
you are enough and young and beautiful
and life will always go on
no matter what
I know it hurts and it will always hurt
but you will be fine
and I will be here to remind you that.
